Family & Whānau Support
Family & Whānau Support
Supporting individuals and whānau experiencing family violence through our Integrated Safety Response (ISR) team.
Our Integrated Safety Response (ISR) team responds to referrals received from New Zealand Police.
Within their roles, our kaimahi are committed to ensuring that individuals and whānau experiencing family violence receive the support, assistance, and resources they need to achieve safety, build resilience, and enhance their overall health and wellbeing. A key objective of the ISR service is to reduce and prevent family harm through a collaborative model of practice.
This includes developing personalised safety plans, accessing safety devices and alarms where appropriate, and assisting with Trespass Notices and Protection Orders.
In addition to Police referrals, the ISR team also responds to walk-in clients and referrals from other agencies. Ongoing whānau support can continue through business-as-usual (BAU) services and tailored to the unique needs of each individual and whānau.
